Student safety is a top priority at our school.  Receiving phone calls everyday from 15 to 20 parents informing us where their child is going after school is a high maintenance situation for our staff.  Some days, last minute messages do not get to the bus drivers or to the teachers on time and this leads to students being dropped off at wrong locations.   The staff is often left to try and figure out where the communication broke down.

Therefore, effective on Friday, October 4, 2013 all students will be taken home after school.  It will be up to the parent to pick them up from their bus stop and take them where they need to go.  Parents are welcome to come to the school to take their children to their sitters if they are not going home right after school.  The responsibility is too huge when students are dropped off at wrong locations.  Safety comes first and this is the first step to insuring your child gets to where they are suppose to go.

Bus transportation will continue but it will be from home to school and vice versa.  If you have any questions or concerns, please feel free to drop in at the school or to give me a call at 295-3491 or 295-1757.  Stay current with our updates by going to or by cable notices or checking your child's bag for school notices.

Safety first,

Marjorie Pierro
