Students have been given the attached assignment and are required to pass it in on Monday, April 13, 2015.

Students in 8/9 Health have begun looking into possible future careers. They are required to submit a research assignment based on a chosen career. The outline for the assignment is attached. The assignment is due on Wednesday, April 15, 2015.

Students have just finished reading "Hatchet" by Gary Paulsen. They will be having a quiz based on this novel on Tuesday, April 14, 2015. The test will include 30 multiple choice questions and 5 long answer questions. Possible topics for the long answer questions include: survival, wilderness dangers, animals, the Secret and hope).

Students have been learning about 1850s British North America since the beginning of term. They are now working on a project for chapter 5. For this project, students need to create a character from 1850s BNA, write a short biography of the person and write 4 short diary entries from the person's point of view. Students have been working on this assignment in class since the beginning of April. They will continue to be given time to work on the project in class. However, some work must be done at home in order to finish the assignment on time. The project is due on Wednesday, April 15, 2015.

Students will be writing a test tomorrow, Friday, April 10, 2015. The test will be based on Chapter 4 in the Science 7 Textbook (Pure Substances and Mixtures). Students have been given summary notes for the chapter and complete a review package in class. The test will include fill in the blank, true or false, short answer and fill-in charts and diagrams.

 The test will be worth a significant portion of their term mark.
