Students in Grades 7, 8, and 9 will be writing a quiz tomorrow for our short story units.

Students will need to know the definitions for all short story elements discussed in the unit. They will also need to know how to identify these elements in a story on the quiz.

 

Students in Grade 9 English will be having a quiz on Friday, September 23, 2016. The quiz will cover the following topics: capitalization, punctuation, parts of speech and paragraph writing. Students should have all required notes to study.

Students in Grades 7, 8 and 9 will be writing a quiz in their English classes on Friday, November 13, 2015. The quizzes are based on the novels being read in class.

Grade 9-Stuck in Neutral by Terry Trueman

Students were given quiz outlines in class.

For their final project, students in Grade 8/9 English are completing autobiographies in the form of a power point presentation. The assignment sheet is attached and outlines the required information students must include. Students are also encouraged to include additional information and slides. We will be working on these assignments in class until Monday, June 8, 2015. Students will be presenting their slideshows on Tuesday, June 9, 2015.

For their final project, students in Grade 7 English are completing an autobiography assignment. The assignment sheet is attached and it outlines the information students are required to include. Students are encouraged to include extra information as well.

Grade 7 students will be writing a test tomorrow, May 7, 2015. The test is based on Chapter 6 in their Social Studies textbook. Students completed review packages in class and can use these to study.

Students have been given the attached assignment and are required to pass it in on Monday, April 13, 2015.

Students in 8/9 Health have begun looking into possible future careers. They are required to submit a research assignment based on a chosen career. The outline for the assignment is attached. The assignment is due on Wednesday, April 15, 2015.

Students have just finished reading "Hatchet" by Gary Paulsen. They will be having a quiz based on this novel on Tuesday, April 14, 2015. The test will include 30 multiple choice questions and 5 long answer questions. Possible topics for the long answer questions include: survival, wilderness dangers, animals, the Secret and hope).
