The pandemic has definitely changed how we communicate and how we go about doing our business. The Grade 12 Graduation is such a huge highlight to the end of our school story for 2021. To keep everyone safe we will graduate our students but we must follow COVID PROTOCOLS. This is the blueprint:
Date: Tuesday, June 22, 2021
Where: Outside the School Entrance
Time: 11am
Invitation: Graduates and Parents Only
Graduates are asked to come by the school on Thursday, June 17 to pick up their graduation gowns. Nobody will be permitted to group. Chief Norman, MC, 2 staff and myself will be the only ones there to celebrate with the graduates and their guests.
There will be no food or feast on site but each graduate will be receiving a $100 gift certificate to the Clean Wave Restaurant along with their diplomas, rings and gifts.

Progress Reports
Wagmatcookewey School News!
Progress reports for grades 7 to 12 will be mailed out on Tuesday, April 27, 2021.
With the school at 100% e-learning from Tuesday, April 27 to Friday, May 7, 2021 there will be no parent teacher interviews. However, I encourage parents to contact their youth’s teachers if you have any concerns or questions about your child’s progress.

Physically Active Lifestyles
If any PAL students need to get their book or any materials at the school, please come to the school today. Other information, as it relates to PAL during this current 100% online period, will be posted on Google Classroom.
Physical Education
During this current 100% online learning period, students will be expected to submit activity logs that will be posted on Google Classroom (Gr. 4 – Gr. 9) and Seesaw (Gr. Primary – Gr. 3). Please submit the activity logs on Google Classroom or Seesaw. Email submissions will be accepted however, Google Classroom and Seesaw is much preferred. If anyone in grades 3-9. does not have their pedometer, please make a note of this on your activity log, and students will be graded accordingly (no penalty).

Dental Services
Dear Parents & Guardians
We are slowly resuming the Dental Therapy clinical services for Wagmatcookewey School.
We have to start with dental forms titled Community Oral Health Services Consent Form. It is a double sided form or two pages.
Please fill one out for each of your children you wish to enrol for dental care.
Dental forms can be picked up / dropped off at the Wagmatcookewey School Dental Therapy Clinic.
We have oral hygiene kits available for students take home also.
Please call prior to coming to the school/ clinic so I know who to expect. Ph # 902-295-1558.
I am in the community & clinic every Thursday & Friday 930- 330 (weather/roads permitting)
